My local phone directory is full of gardening businesses with names like TMP Garden Maintenance, Greenfingers Gardening Services, Len's Lawncare, Busy Bees Garden Services and Denhams Garden Care.
Compare the names The Urban Spaceman, Jungle Tamers, Nice and Stripy and Garden Makeover. Relevant words to look up in a thesaurus will include garden, lawn, plants, maintenance, land, landscape and borders, plus whatever your specialism is.
Now go through your list thinking of the images evoked by the words on your list. If not, delete the word. Arbour, potager, verdure and xeriscape are all gardening-related words, but will your target audience know them?
Can you tweak some of the words on your list to find an original name? Can you combine words on your list to come up with a catchy name? Alliteration (where words begin with the same sound) and assonance (where words contain the same vowel sound) work well and often produce catchy, memorable names.
Don't rush into choosing a name. Take your time.
